The D.C. Bar Antitrust and Consumer Law Section receives the 2014 D.C. Bar Section of the Year Award .  The Bar awarded the Section for its efforts to offer relevant, high-quality programming to its members. In fiscal year 2013–14, the section held 8 programs and cosponsored 62 others with the D.C. Bar Continuing Legal Education Program and other sections to provide low-cost admission for its membership. In keeping with the Bar’s strategic plan goal of “Technological Engagement,” the section has integrated social media into its program marketing to connect better with its membership as well as with the larger legal community. The section provided value to its members by offering a variety of programming, including brown bag and catered lunches, low-cost events, and networking opportunities. The section also updated chapters of The District of Columbia Practice Manual and was active in the wider community through pro bono and outreach activities, which included financial donations to the Youth Law Fair and the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program. Tracy D. Rezvani served as Co-Chair of the D.C. Bar Antitrust and Consumer Law Steering Committee for the 2013-2014 fiscal year.
